This show was meant to be taking place a night earlier; moved from Shepherd's Bush Empire to Koko a couple of months before. Camden was the location of both of Basement's last shows before their hiatus - and their return - and now it's where they perform what they referred to as their 'biggest headline show'.
It's kind of weird to think that Simple Plan's first release was about fourteen years ago now. No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls was goofy, fun and it ensured their status as pop-punk stalwarts. With their knack for writing solid-gold chunks of pop-punk, there's a definite reason that they're still about almost a decade and a half down the line. Here's what we thought of their latest offering, Taking One For The Team.
There's no debate about it; Beach Slang's heartfelt performance made the whole evening feel fun and special, like getting punched in the gut by your best friend (in the best possible way, if that makes any sense).
In the vein of pop superstars such as Queen Bey herself, Say Anything have dropped their newest release I Don't Think It Is without any forewarning. Stemming from Max Bemis' thorough disdain for the 'pre-album build up', they streamed their album for a day prior to its surprise release.
Already compared to Bring Me The Horizon and 30 Seconds To Mars, Normandie prove they're just as good (if not better) than the big guns of alternative music. New album 'Inguz' is packed with songs with the ideal mix of light and shade: hit after hit after hit.
Set away from the wandering eye, down two dingy sides streets and decorated in what looks like a Sons of Anarchy’s Motorbike collection is Camden’s hidden gem of a venue, The Black Heart. Tonight we are here to welcome Canadian rockers The Dirty Nil to their first ever UK show! With its usual broody buzz, on top of a free show on offer, the venue is filling up nicely for a Thursday night.
Lacey have started off 2016 in style with a new five-track EP entitled I Don’t Owe The World A Thing, following on from the release of their debut album Under The Brightest Lights in 2015. After we became hooked on last year's release we've sunk our teeth into the follow-up, to see if it lives up to our high expectations.
Bury Tomorrow are on the verge of something special; the problem is, they have been for a while. Will Earthbound push them on to the next level?
It could be said that Eastbourne is known mostly for being a home to a hive of retired oldies. It’s certainly not known for its music scene. Nevertheless, South Coast boys ROAM are here to disprove the stereotype and put Eastbourne on the musical map with their debut Backbone.
It’s been just under two years since Ipswich emo elites Basement shocked us with their sudden return, less than two years after the group announced that they were going on indefinite hiatus. Promise Everything is the band's third full length record and once again see’s them alter their sound, here's what we thought!
