VIDEO NEWS: Honey Joy Release Video For New Track ‘Pain’

Honey Joy have released a video for their new track Pain, taken from their upcoming sophomore album II. The album is set to be released on 4th September 2020 via Everything Sucks Music.

Pain is a track written about a patient vocalist Meg Tinsley tended to in her role as a nurse. Speaking about the patient she says: “After having a heart attack and a stroke he wasn’t able to talk, his frustration and shock seemed to manifest in frustrated screaming and pain all over and no meds would touch it.” The release of Pain follows on from Part Two: The Healer, which was the first track from their upcoming album.

The tracks featuring on their upcoming album II were written in two halves, both when vocalist Meg Tinsley was signed-off work due to her mental health, and when she had overcome her battles and was on a mission for self-love. II is “an exploration of the places your mind can go and a narrative of my experiences during those times,” she explains.
