Indie-alt duo sugarpine have released their debut single LEAVES. The project was formed by lifelong friends Brian MacDonald (PVRIS) and Sam Carpenter, who met in sixth grade.
“LEAVES was the first song and creative idea that we had as a duo,” they explain. “The song explores the concepts of moving through the world of New Hampshire, the state where we were raised, and what it’s like to either stay or go. In New England, there is a common saying that even if you move away, you’ll come back. For those of us raised in New Hampshire specifically, this saying rings loudly throughout our whole lives.”
