Norwegian punk quartet Oberst have delivered a seamless blend of sounds on their debut album 'Paradise' and it comes as no surprise, as their collective music taste varies from hardcore and metal to classic rock, hip-hop, jazz and doom. We caught up with the band following the release to find out more about their influences, what they want to achieve and more.

At The Garage in Glasgow, Thy Art Is Murder, Carnifex and Fit For An Autopsy took to the stage for an evening full of guttural vocals and thuggish breakdowns.

The shows in April will see support from The St Pierre Snake Invasion and Sugar Horse.

Following the release of their debut self-titled album last year, The New Death Cult will make their first UK appearance later this week as they head out on tour to support Wheel. We caught up with the masked hard rock newcomers ahead of the shows to hear their top tips and stories from the road.

“On any given day I’m a 6 of 10...” The opening line of the new Spanish Love Songs album 'Brave Faces Everyone' sets the listener up for the following ten tracks of earnest, anthemic punk rock, that sees the band building on the incredible 'Schmaltz' to give us an early album of the year contender.

The video comes ahead of the band's European headline tour.

With this being a sold-out show hosted in a basement venue we had a feeling this was going to be a memorable night for all those in attendance.

Last year gothic doom quartet Cold in Berlin revealed the video for their hypnotic single 'The Power', a taste of their latest album 'Rituals of Surrender'. Intrigued to find out more, we caught up with the band to talk about the single and video themes, stories from behind the scenes and more.
