FESTIVAL NEWS: Slam Dunk Festival Announces First Wave Of Bands

Slam Dunk Festival have announced its first wave of bands for 2018, confirming headliners Jimmy Eat World plus five more acts to perform across the North, South and Midlands dates.

Joining Jimmy Eat World is Taking Back Sunday, Sleeping With Sirens, Four Year Strong, State Champs and Trash Boat, with all six acts confirmed as UK festival exclusives.

“We are very excited to announce our return to the United Kingdom in May for Slam Dunk,” says Taking Back Sunday‘s Shaun Cooper. “We have had such a great time in years past we felt very fortunate to receive an offer we couldn’t refuse. We will be sharing a stage with the legendary Jimmy Eat World! We can’t wait to see you at the shows.”

Slam Dunk Festival takes place on the 26th, 27th and 28th May. Earlier this week the festival announced a brand new site for Slam Dunk South in Hatfield. The South leg of the festival, originally held at the University of Hertfordshire, will now take place at Hatfield Park.

Dates for Slam Dunk Festival 2018 are as follows:

May 

Sat 26th – LEEDS – City Centre (Slam Dunk North)
Sun 27th – HATFIELD – Hatfield Park (Slam Dunk South)
Mon 28th – BIRMINGHAM – NEC (Slam Dunk Midlands)

Tickets on sale at 9am on Friday 17th November priced at £49 or £55 including afterparty (all subject to booking fees), with a new installment scheme also available.
