Karen Dió has released her sophomore EP Fugaz, out now via Hopeless Records.
“The word “fugaz” is Portuguese for fleeting, brief, transient or short-lived,” Dió explains. “Life itself is “fugaz,” it goes really fast and changes all the time. This EP is about me dealing with that in the last couple of years. All the fast changes that have happened to my life, my body, my career and the world around me. A reminder to myself that life is not about what is about to happen, but what is happening right now because that’s all we have.”
To celebrate, Dió has also released her new single Choke.
“I believe that my best revenge when people talk shit about me is to let them be themselves, show their real faces and bite their own tongue, while I continue just doing my own thing, writing bangers,” she adds.
