Every festival has music—Boomtown has a world. Set in Hampshire’s Matterley Bowl between 6th and 10th August, Boomtown builds an entire city from the ground up. With each year a new story unfolds, this year being Chapter Four: Power Of Now where the onsite districts, stories, hidden stages and secret are as important as the artists seen onstage.
Known as Boomtown citizens, attendees will be able to explore, write their own story and help the fictional world of Boomtown come to life. For those heading there to enjoy the music there’s truly something for everyone, the rockers, the ravers and everything in between. This year will see artists including Alien Ant Farm, Beans On Toast, Hacktivist, Nova Twins, Sex Pistols Ft. Frank Carter, SNAYX, The Meffs and so many more take to the stages. Expect secrets to stumble upon, stories to unfold and a weekend of pure magic which is impossible to explain to those who weren’t there.
There’s a significant focus on the environment, with an Eco Bond in place there is an emphasis on recycling, reusing, sustainable travel and keeping the city as clean as possible. With an even bigger city than ever before, For a weekend of creativity, connection and celebration, Boomtown are continuing to allow its citizen freedom to explore the world whilst encouraging respect for themselves, others and the planet around them.
As August approaches and Chapter Four beckons, Boomtown is preparing for its citizens—returning and new. The only question that remains is: who will you become in a place defined by imagination?
