The most awaited weekend for hardcore fans has arrived and this year it extends from north to south, generously giving London one day of madness before it goes back to its birthplace, Manchester, for two days of no barrier shows where spin kicking and stage diving are a must!
We went down to London to cover the first day of the fest profiting of the safety net that a pit between stage and crowd gives. We still got shoved into amps and risked everything for the shot but at least we were not kicked in the head while doing so!
Baltimore legends Turnstile are headlining the day. It’s their first time in the UK since the summer of 2023 where they played only one show, in Manchester. The set was filled with joy and pouring rain. Their new album, NEVER ENOUGH set a perfect atmosphere to close the sweaty festival. The UK audience has been craving more Turnstile for years and here’s hoping for a proper UK tour this autumn.
Headlining second stage were Knocked Loose, in their best form. Having just seen them as a surprise act at Rock Am Ring, we can say that the band excels on massive stages, but it’s on smaller ones, where they can really see the crowd and interact better with it, that the band is visibly more overjoyed and involved! That tent was dripping in pure CO2 and circle pits, to the point that it was so packed some people had to choose to listen to the show rather than witness it because the heat was just too unbearable. A great success.
We also covered Glassjaw, Speed, Alex G and Danny Brown, see our full coverage in our photo gallery!
