FESTIVAL PREVIEW: 2000Trees 2025

As we’re deep into festival season we’re only a couple of weeks away from our favourite alt music festival in Cheltenham. 2000Trees is back for another year with another brilliant line-up. Every year the festival hosts a number of the best British and International alternative rock and metal acts and this year is absolutely no different. It’s easy to see why people swarm to Upcote Farm every year for this four day event. But it’s not just the music that keeps people coming back every year. The vibes of 2000Trees are always on point. It’s a mid-size festival, bigger than Slam Dunk but smaller than Download, with the friendliest of atmospheres. Over the four days you can catch an array of huge names. Wondering who your schedule should include? Let’s take a look through this years mega line-up.

If you’re one of the dedicated early birds arriving on Wednesday you’ll be spending your time either at the Forest or Word stage, or likely both, and to kick off the festival in the right fashion you’ve got Haggard Cat opening it up on the Forest stage. Throughout the afternoon into the evening you’ve then got the likes of Vower, unpeople, Panic Shack and Hot Milk, all of who played the bigger stages last year, so it’s an opportunity to see them in a more intimate festival setting. Along with them, you’ve got rising stars, Buds., Meryl Streek and The Meffs all on the Word stage. Some of these acts will play other stages across the festival over the next three days.

On Thursday, the rest of the stages come alive. To name but a few of the mighty acts you’ll find on this day, you’ve got Snayx, Puppy, the incredible Bambie Thug, PVRIS, Twin Atlantic, and last bit absolutely not least, KNEECAP headline the Main stage. We know, we know, and that’s just the first full day.

Friday brings us just as much of a killer line-up with up-and-coming metal stars, Mallavora opening Main stage, and a special Q&A and live set from the one and only Coheed & Cambria down on the Forest stage around midday. Then there’s BLACKGOLD, Graphic Nature and Frontierer for the hardcore fans, Trash Boat, Fidlar and Taking Back Sunday for the elder emos, and not to forget Frank Turner taking us back, playing his Love, Ire & Song album.

You could only hope that Saturday, the last, would be the cherry on the cake, and, well, they haven’t missed with this one. Take your pick of who you start with… Will it be a bit of punk with Gen and the Degenerates, grungy rock with Bleech, indie-pop with Hunny Buzz, genre-blending Hidden Mothers, or perhaps even a spot of 90s infused aerobics? Moving on throughout the day there’s a plethora of not-to-be-missed talent, which will likely make your schedule choices quite difficult. Daytime TV, Split Chain, Anxious, Girlband! and Employed to Serve are just some of the afternoon acts worth seeing before heading into the evening. One set you won’t want to be missing is that of letlive. having recently reunited this is their one and only UK festival appearance this year. The headliners for today are top tier, with RORY on the Forest stage, Black Foxxes on Neu, Imminents at The Cave, SPRINTS at The Axiom, and lastly, the ever-brilliant Alexisonfire rounding the festival off on Main stage.

If that’s not enough, the Word stage also brings you various live podcasts throughout the festival, along with other interactive sessions across the weekend.

Then Sunday, we rest, and process what has just happened.
