Following the announcement of their third album ‘Elysian Skies’, due out on 28th April, Lakes have revealed another new single Tie Dye.
Tie Dye is a powerful showcase of Lakes’ growth and evolution, its lyrics capture the determination to be living in the moment, with a simplicity and honesty that is reminiscent of the band’s output across the rest of the album.
Vocalist Roberto Cappellina comments on the new single:
“Although this is essentially a three minute pop song, sonically it’s probably the most ambitious song we’ve recorded; from the retro sounding 70s acoustic guitars, to the double-bass. The song is about the fight to be present, and being grateful for those around you who accept you for your flaws.”
