FESTIVAL NEWS: Download Festival Announce New Details About 2023 Event

Download Festival have announced new details for their 20th anniversary event, set to take place between 8th-11th June 2023.

The four-day event will see a number of site changes compared to previous years including the new Mini Moshers Camping which is a campsite for families with children under five offering a safe space for the younger attendees at the festival. Whilst the Rock Retreat Camping at Melbourne Hall will offer luxury toilets/showers, pamper area, pizza kitchen, tea rooms and more for those wanting a relaxing night after a heavy day! If you need a bit of a luxury refresh during the day, the Download Lounge will be open and providing a lounge bar, luxury restrooms, cloakrooms and a pamper area near the main arena.

Next year’s improved Village has been renamed District X and will see secret shows, stores, further food offerings and surprises for those who visit during the weekend. Ever wanted to visit a Download Megastore to get exclusive festival items, homeware, clothing and more? Well in 2023, attendees will be able to make a visit to the exclusive onsite store as part of their Download weekend.

The initial line-up has been shared with Metallica headlining on both Thursday and Saturday, with no songs repeated, while Bring Me The Horizon will headline on Friday and Slipknot will close the festival on Sunday. 

Evanescence, Parkway Drive, Disturbed, Pendulum, Architects, Ghost, The Distillers, Placebo, Alexisonfire, Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, I Prevail, The Blackout (reunion), Fever 333, Stray From The Path, Lorna Shore, Nova Twins, Within Temptation and more have also been confirmed in the first wave of names.
