MUSIC NEWS: PENGSHUi Announce Album Details & Release Video For New Single ‘This Is My Youth’
PENGSHUi have announced their new album Destroy Yourself, due for release on 28th January 2022 via MVKA.
In light of the announcement, the trio have released a video for their new single This Is My Youth.
“The idea for TIMY was born when Flux Pavillion said to me, “I like the way you talk, we need to make a list of things you say and put them in a record” which then became a list of my favourite things from the present and childhood,” explains MC Illaman. “It slowly became an ode to the 90’s, our childhoods, our friends and their music. As the chorus suggests “this is me, this is my youth” is a nostalgic one for all those who have fallen in love with the 90’s fashion, energy and vibe in 2021 and those who grew and rose from that era.”
“The video was shot around West London where Dave grew up and spent his younger years. Good old W10,” adds drummer Prav. “This one is a belter and we love it! Another track we can’t wait to drop live on tour in February!!”
