MUSIC NEWS: Alfie Neale Announces New EP & Shares Lyric Video For ‘I Don’t Wanna Dance’ (featuring Isaiah Dreads)

Indie-pop/soul singer, songwriter and producer Alfie Neale has released a lyric video for new single I Don’t Wanna Dance featuring Isaiah Dreads. The track is the lead single from his forthcoming everywhere/nowhere EP.

Neale says of the track: “‘I Don’t Wanna Dance’ is about visiting your hometown and old friends and wishing you could pick up where you left off again, instead of dancing on the chequered late-night pub dance floor. Just standing in the corner of the room and observing what’s going on. I wrote most of the song staying late at work when I was in-between tenancies—my boss let me set up a little studio in a room and I’d stay writing every day until the parking restrictions in Brighton ran out and I could drive back there.”

On the collaboration, Neale adds: “Isaiah came to my new flat once we’d moved in after I bumped into him on the street in Brighton, which was a funny coincidence—we both grew up in the same town in Dorset and moved to Brighton without even knowing each other lived here, so the tune really feels like it was meant to be written.”

The track was produced by Cassell The Beatmaker whilst videography and VFX for the lyric video were by James Foreman, check it out below!
