FESTIVAL NEWS: The Great Escape Announces First Fifty Acts For 2022

The Great Escape Festival has announced it will be returning to Brighton venues between 12th – 14th May 2022 and has shared the first fifty acts on the line-up along with details of the FIRST FIFTY showcases.

The FIRST FIFTY live launch will be making its return, including live shows across East London venues on 17th November, an online showcase on the 18th November and also a special FIRST FIFTY show in Brighton on 19th November.

On 17th November across eight venues in London, showcase events will be taking place at Night Tales with ENNY, Tems and Finn Askew. In Hackney Wick, Priya Ragu, Sipho, Lime Garden and Daisy Brain will be at Studio 9294. The Hackney Social will be home to KAM-BU, Deema and Conor Albert for the night. NT’s will be showcasing the best new rap and grime from Miso Extra, BXKS and Dreya Mac.

Whilst at Oslo in Hackney, Mysie, Delilah Montagu, JADA and Kwaku Asante will be taking to the stage. Paper Dress Vintage is hosting KEG, Wu-Lu and Hussy. The Victoria in Dalston is the place to head for some guitar music from Malady, The Clockworks, Gallus and Dea Matrona. Finally, the Sebright Arms will be welcoming Unschooling, Powerplant and Hamish Hawk. The showcases will give fans the chance to see these artists up-close and personal before their sets at The Great Escape next year. Can’t attend a FIRST FIFTY showcase in person? Then their online showcase on 18th November is for you. It will feature digital performances from talent around the world including USA, Germany, Spain, Japan, Holland, Norway and the Dominican Republic. Tune in HERE to see Wallice, Maple Glider, Crown Lands, Gustaf, Charmaine, CV Vision, SyccoLunar Vacation, TEKE::TEKE, Kills Birds, DORA, Gabriels, Adam Melchor, Enumclaw, EFÉ, Ur Monarch, Someone, Alice Pisano, Johanna Warren, and Conchúr White.

The final part of the FIRST FIFTY will see them head to the festival’s hometown of Brighton. At Chalk attendees will be able to see Sam Ryder, Isabelle Brown and HEIGHTS.

The Great Escape champions itself on being the festival for new music and will see more than 450 artists playing at 35+ venues in Brighton alongside hosting their industry-led conference. Tickets for the 2022 event taking place between 12th – 14th May are on sale now from HERE.
