For You The Moon have released a video for their brand new single eightfortyfive, out now via Slam Dunk Records.
“I was in a relationship that was falling apart for long before it finally ended. Almost every Friday night, I’d be waiting in my car outside the station for 8:45pm for when her train would arrive so that became a period of reflection for me, running through all sorts of scenarios in my head,” explains frontman Isaac Cooter.
“Eightfortyfive as a song was originally written on a piano – I was playing around with the opening lyrics and tried to map it out from there. It actually all came together just before the first lockdown – we were rehearsing for a show that would eventually get cancelled due to covid – and we just started trying different ideas out around this initial structure in this 15 minute window. And then lockdown hit and we had to finish the arrangement completely digitally which is weird because I feel like it’ll be a ripper live!”
