Alt-rock outfit Chapter and Verse have announced their new single Something In The Water is set for release on 1st June 2021.
“We’re so well connected nowadays that it can sometimes feel like there’s nothing but bad news; like there’s always a new calamity waiting round the corner. ‘Something in the Water’ is a song about defying the sinking feeling that can give you. It’s about understanding that there are practical things that can be done to free yourself from that state of mind.” says the band.
Their forthcoming single marks their musical return and is followed by a slot at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival. The band adds: “Whilst it’s been tough for many people, the pandemic gave us the time to reevaluate and in a certain sense to rediscover what we love about being a band. You don’t know what you’ll miss until it’s taken away from you and we’ve re-entered the music world with a new sense of enjoyment.”
