Evanescence have released their empowering new single Use My Voice, taken from their forthcoming album The Bitter Truth.
Use My Voice was written to celebrate the power of speaking out, in order to promote more justice in the world. The single’s chorus sees Amy Lee collaborate with Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless), Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), violinist Lindsey Stirling, Deena Jakoub (Veridia) who is a long-time friend of Lee’s an co-wrote the song, Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), Lee’s sisters Carrie South and Lori Lee Bulloch, and guitarist Troy McLawhorn‘s wife Amy McLawhorn.
“This is an era of awakening, and full of powerful beauty,” says Lee. “I hope to inspire others to seek truth, find their own voices, and use them as I step up to use mine. Don’t let anybody speak for you. Only you can do that.”
