FESTIVAL NEWS: Boardmasters Announce More Acts For 2019

Boardmasters have announced even more names for their 2019 event, including Friday night headliners Wu-Tang Clan. The Wombats have also been confirmed to headline the Land Of Saints stage. They will join previously announced headliners Florence + The Machine and Foals, plus many more acts.

Bear’s Den, Mahalia, SG Lewis, Sunset Sons, Elderbrook, Mella Dee, and Heidi, joining Giggs, Dizzee Rascal, Jorja Smith, Plan B, DJ EZ, Jax Jones & Martin Solveig, Wilkinson b2b Sub Focus, Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight, Mabel, Sam Fender, Slaves and The Hunna are amongst the latest additions.

As well as a great line-up of music, the Boardmasters surf competition is back on Fistral Beach, as part of the World Surf League Qualifying Series. It has also been confirmed that the 2019 surf ambassadors will be Luke Dillon, Lucy Campbell and Tassy Swallow.

The Zennor Haven Wellbeing Area will return to Watergate Bay, where festival goers can attend yoga sessions and mental health workshops,  with healthy food offerings, meditation and more on offer. The UK’s largest Silent Disco will also return on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th August at the main stage.

Boardmasters will continue its tremendous work to keep the festival and the Cornish coastline, cleaner than ever before. Long-term supporters of Surfers Against Sewage for over 20 years the festival will once more collaborate on a series of beach cleans throughout the year as well as during the festival. Other sustainability initiatives will continue, including the hugely successful re-useable cup scheme, the litter bond, Cornwall’s ‘Final Straw’ scheme and more to make Boardmasters as clean, environmentally-friendly and enjoyable as possible. This is all part of the mission to have eradicated all non-essential single use plastics from Boardmasters by 2020.
