MUSIC NEWS: Tranz-Mission Returns To Finsbury Park In September

Slammin Vinyl are back with Tranz-Mission Outdoor 2016, bringing some of the biggest names in dance to Finsbury Park to culminate this year’s festival season.

Grandmaster Flash, DJ Hype, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Frankie Bones, SL2, Artful Dodger, Fabio & Grooverider, Slipmatt, Darren Styles, Pied Piper and more have been confirmed for the event, which takes place on the 25th September.

Of the event, director Grant Smith comments:

“Having co-promoted the ‘United’ events at Finsbury Park in 2014 and 2015, we are now very proud to be announcing our Tranz-mission event on the 25th September – resurrecting the Tranz-mission events we staged between 2005 – 2010 in Alexandra Palace just up the road from Finsbury Park. The line-up is particularly interesting to us and close to our hearts with some of our personal teenage heroes on the bill including New Yorkers Grandmaster Flash and Frankie Bones who are original founders of what went to be called the Rave scene. Without these guys things could have taken very different courses”

Slammin Vinyl have built up their reputation over the past 25 years, hosting showcases at Alexandra Palace, Brixton Academy and Bagley’s amongst others – the return to Finsbury Park with over 150 names is not to be missed.

Tickets are on sale now, starting at £27.50 – VIP ticket holders will have the chance to re-live the Acid House Party experience in a re-created arena featuring Mr C, Danny Rampling, Evil Eddie Richards and Ellis Dee.

For tickets and more information, head to the Tranz-Mission website.
