Many bands are trying their hand at creating pop-punk music, and Project Revise have thrown their effort into the mix with the release of their latest EP 'Songs From The Shed'. The five-track EP follows the well-rehearsed formula, but does it score top marks?

It was only less than a month ago since Anvil released their latest studio album, Legal At Last which followed their 2018 release Pounding The Pavement. In support of this new material they recently headed out on a UK tour, with support for the Manchester show being provided by Ragdoll Sunday and Electus.

As part of Independent Venue Week, one of Bournemouth’s finest venues, The Anvil became host to the likes of Eastbourne outfit ROAM, alt-rock trio Superlove and South Coast quartet Wolf Culture. With this being a sold-out show hosted in a basement venue we had a feeling this was going to be a memorable night for all those in attendance.

Following the release of their fifth studio album 'The Trouble With Boys', pop legends Scouting For Girls are currently out on their annual pre-Christmas tour. Hitting Bournemouth’s O2 Academy on a cold Thursday night, we had a feeling we’d be warmed up thanks to a night of great pop-singalongs.

As far as line-ups go when you put Nervus, Cultdreams and Milk Teeth on the same bill you’re guaranteed to not only have a great night of live music, but also a crowd of open-minded fans willing to embrace and enjoy everything thrown their way. When this tour rolled into The Anvil in Bournemouth last week we got to experience the strength and solidarity of this scene first hand and had a great time in the process.

Following on from a successful tour across Europe, Peterborough quartet Airways are currently out on tour across the UK. Kicking off the run of shows at Southampton Joiners last week with support from Wargasm, we headed down to see whether we would be in store for a night of great live music or be 'Out Of Luck' on this occasion.
