Norwegian alt-rock band CURBZ have released their debut single Zhuggah, out now via Indie Recordings.
“For us, music is all about energy, and Zhuggah captures exactly what we’re about,” the band explains. “It’s fast-paced but also precise, both lyrically and instrumentally. We’ve leaned into its attitude and pushed everything to the forefront rather than holding back. That’s really the whole point of the track.
“Vocals are usually the last thing to come together for us. The instrumental creates the energy and shapes the world that the lyrics then inhabit. With Zhuggah, the playful, arrogant lyrics felt like they had to reflect the attitude already there in the music.”
