sace6 have released their debut album brutalist, alongside their new single nepenthe.
“brutalist – our debut album, the sound designed from the most honest and vulnerable parts of our minds, it took a shape of its own to change the way our ears digest music and to reinstate what “pop music” is,” the band explains. “Yes there was intention and influence, but most importantly there was confidence in our own emotions to display sonically how we truly feel, furthering our statement one song after the other.
“brutalist is the sonic catharsis of our lives throughout the past year. everything that we have felt, seen, and experienced is lived through every moment, lyric, melody and sustain of this record. As crushing as it is, we offer it to our listeners as a true experience of loss, grief, and redemption in self. We hope that not only do our listeners understand what’s being said, but feel it as deeply as the moment that pain was birthed.”
