Rainbow Kitten Surprise have released their brand new single Sixteen, out now via Atlantic Records. The track marks the band’s first new music since their 2025 album bones.
“This track is slightly different from a lot of what ‘bones’ carries, so we didn’t actually include it on the record but we’re happy that people are going to hear it,” the band comments. “Topically it’s a dual thing. One, it’s sort of a fantasy life that’s getting displayed, especially the idea of being the ‘prom queen at sixteen,’ your first prom ever. Two, I think on a more universal level, the song is about triumph over death and the idea that we all still live on past our prime, even past our lifetime. We live on in the memories of people.”
