Last Wednesday at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Shane Smith & The Saints proved why their fanbase is growing fast on both sides of the Atlantic. The Texas-based band, known for their appearance on Yellowstone and their gritty Red Dirt sound, played a sold-out London show packed with energy, emotion, and a real sense of connection.
Before they walked on stage, the energy was electric. Fans in the front row have followed them for a few years and are lucky to have seen them play at small UK venues. They kicked things off with a fiery jam that immediately pulled the crowd in. Shane Smith’s voice—rough-edged, powerful, and full of feeling—cut straight through the room. The band behind him lifted every track with rich harmonies and strong musicianship.
Standout moments included Adeline and All I See Is You, both met with huge reactions. Newer songs from their latest album fit right in, showing how far their sound has come. But the real magic came at the end with their final song, Heaven Knows, hit hard—“Cause we’ve set our sails for deeper seas / Heaven knows what we will find,” it felt like a statement of intent, and the crowd knew it.
If their UK shows keep going like this, they won’t be playing rooms this size for much longer.
