As It Is have released Sorry X, featuring a collaboration with Yours Truly frontwoman Mikaila Delgado. The track is taken from Never Happy, Ever After X, a complete re-recording of their debut album, featuring guest appearances on every track.
“Sorry was the first song we wrote for the Never Happy, Ever After back in early 2014,” the band explains. “We even played it live a handful of times before we recorded it and released it the following year. ‘Sorry’ wouldn’t have sounded out of place on an early As It Is EP, and we were kind of able to write the rest of the record around it, in a way.
“It was never a single, but it was a fan favourite, a great live moment in the set, and its lyrics titled the record, so it’s always been a special song for the band and the album. Now, it’s getting its flowers, and the extraordinarily talented Mikaila Delgado brings so much to this track. Spending the afternoon in the studio with Mik, beaming while she sang these unreal runs and harmonies, it was an absolute blast. We’re so proud of this one and incredibly excited to be sharing another piece of the NHEAX puzzle.”
