FESTIVAL PREVIEW: Rock am Ring 2024

There are now less than two months to go to the most exciting music weekend in Germany! Rock am Ring (Nürburgring) and its sister Rock im Park (Nürnberg) are coming back on the weekend of the 7th to the 9th of June 2024. We’re taking a look at Rock am Ring which will be headlined by Die ärzte on Friday, Green Day on Saturday, Måneskin on Sunday.

Let’s take a deeper dive into some of the reasons we’re excited about the festival!

Friday – Enter Shikari – Utopia Stage (17:45)

The first day of Rock am Ring will see St. Albans’ Enter Shikari hit the stage of the festival for the 6th time and first time in six years! UK and EU audiences have been mesmerised by the laser filled production of their latest tour early in the year, leaving plenty of excitement around what they’ll bring to Rock am Ring. Enter Shikari are always a highlight of any festival they play, as we saw with their headline set at Slam Dunk last year, and Rock am Ring should be no exception.

Friday – Scene Queen – Orbit Stage (18:15)

Friday will be the first time Scene Queen will walk on the Rock am Ring stage! Since the release of her debut EP, Bimbocore, in 2022 Scene Queen has been on an unstoppable rise earning huge followings on social media and selling out tours. This year she finally brings her unique brand of female empowerment metalcore to Europe’s biggest festivals. Mixing pop melodies with important messages we are excited to see her powerful impact on the crowd at Rock am Ring.

Saturday – Billy Talent – Utopia Stage (20:30)

On Saturday the hype is sky high for punk rock legends Billy Talent, playing Rock am Ring for their 6th time. It’s been 18 years since Billy Talent broke through with their second album, Billy Talent II, and many fans in the rock scene have grown up with this band. Their set is assured to be solid banger after banger. The combination of Billy Talent and Green Day on Saturday night will be a dream come true for a generation of emos.

Saturday – Babymetal – Mandora Stage (21:10)

One of the most exciting acts on the Saturday will surely be Babymetal, hitting the stage of Rock am Ring for the first time since 2018! Babymetal’s band of “kawaii metal” is truly one of a kind and they are always a must see act at any festival they play. Fans will be treated to incredible choreography in addition to the first chance to hear tracks from last years new album, The Other One in a festival environment.

Sunday – Parkway Drive – Mandora Stage (00:00)

The last day of the busy festival sees the incredible Parkway Drive take to the Mandora Stage for their 3rd appearance at the festival. The Australian metalcore heroes are one of the best live acts on the scene today and never fail to blow fans away with their incredible live sound and their fire filled production. With seven albums under their belt, Parkway Drive now have a setlist to rival any metal band and will bring their stage to an explosive end.

Sunday – Måneskin – Utopia Stage (22:30)

Sunday night will climax with headliners Måneskin in nothing but a perfect choice to close the festival with a bang. The Italian megastars made their debut at Rock am Ring in 2022 following their Eurovision success and now return just two years later as headliners after filling stadiums worldwide. Undeniably the biggest new rock act of the last few years, Måneskin’s first festival headline shows will surely be a moment to remember.
