MUSIC NEWS: Witch Fever Release ‘Blessed Be Thy (VLURE Remix)’

Witch Fever have teamed up with VLURE for a remix of their song Blessed Be Thy. The original version features on the band’s debut album Congregation, out now via Music For Nations.

We knew we wanted VLURE to do this remix because we were really keen to get a Blade Blood Rave vibe!,” says Amy Walpole. “Blessed Be Thy is super doomy and heavy at its core so it’s so cool to see how they pulled it apart and put it back together again in such an exciting way. Blessed Be Thy is one of our favourite tracks on the album and we love that it has a new lease of life for everyone to enjoy! It celebrates the song and gives new meaning, new anger, and new emotion to it.

When Witch Fever reached out to us to remix one of their tracks it was a no brainer,” adds VLURE‘s Conor Goldie. “I’m a big fan. They’re a terrifyingly intense live band, so it felt fitting to keep the mix aggressive and confrontational whilst giving it the full VLURE treatment. I re-sampled the live drums and re-sequenced different rhythms (will happily die in the pursuit of the perfect breakbeat), grain stretched and scattered Amy’s vocal stem & reworked the live guitar and bass into piercing arps. I wanted this to sound at home on the dance floor, and in the pit. Some dunt.
