MUSIC NEWS: The Subways Announce ‘HMS ALCOPOP-A-CRUISER’ Boat Show

The Subways have announced they will headline the HMS ALCOPOP-A-CRUISER boat show, which is set to take place on the River Thames on 17th September 2021.

Setting sail from Temple Pier at 7pm, the show will see them joined by Tellison, Beach Riot and special yet to be announced guests.

Alcopop! Records owner Jack Clothier says: “Back in 2016, when the world was well, Stephen from Tellison sat at The Brixton Windmill and politely suggested we ran Alcopopacruiser—a show on a boat, with bands, and many awesome people. So we did, and had the very best fun. Finally, it’s back…a rock show and a river cruise, taking in the highlights of London Town with some of the best live bands ever known!”

He continues: “The event will be 100% COVID safe, and attendees will receive full refunds if the event is unable to go ahead, but with confidence in our hearts, it’s all aboard for the feel good event of the (late) summer! Oh, and we’re so sorry, but it is 18+. We’ve asked if we can get round that, but we really can’t. Also, access will be a problem so if you have any worries, or are not sure it’ll work for you, please get in touch and we can help out.”

To celebrate the announcement of this special show, The Subways have teamed up with label mates Tokky Horror for a remix of their latest single Fight, inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement. The track is available digitally now, check it out here.

The event will be limited to a capacity of 150 and tickets are on sale now priced at £26. They can be purchased through ethical ticketing company Ticketpass who will donate 50% of your booking fee to a charity of your choice. Get yours from HERE.
