Pop-rock quartet DAYTIME TV premiered a special live stream performance earlier this week, at Glasgow’s independent venue SWG3.
The free-to-watch event, which took place on 28th April 2021, was raising money for the We Need Crew fundraiser, with all proceeds s going to Backup – a UK registered charity that provides financial support to industry technical professionals, crew/production personnel and people working in the technical supply chain across the UK entertainment industry.
“Our touring family (crew) are the most important people to us on the road and without them there wouldn’t be a show every night. We wanted to do something special to honour them and all the other skilled technical professionals behind the scenes of live music who’ve been so badly hit by the pandemic with little to no help from the government,” says frontman Will Irvine. “This filmed gig at SWG3 in Glasgow was a chance to get our crew back together and celebrate what they do whilst hopefully raising some money for We Need Crew, an amazing set up that helps raise and distribute funds to people in the touring world who are really struggling.
“We hope people enjoy the show and reach into their pockets to make sure these show starters are still around when events are fully back up and running. Without them, we are nothing.”
