In the wake of the protests in the US and political unrest the world over, we at Bring the Noise UK wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the best Black musicians in music. We have been doing this in a series of articles, the first of which highlighted legends throughout history. This second part of the series features some of the greatest Black musicians in the alternative music scene today.

So how can we all help the artists whose music has helped us through our hard times and been a soundtrack to the best night of our lives, now that they need us? You can support them. 2020 has already seen Loathe go from strength to strength, playing packed out headline shows across the UK in support of their recently released sophomore album 'I Let It In And It Took Everything'. Over the last two years the experimental metal quintet have proven their worth on the live circuit, touring across the UK, Europe, USA, Japan and China alongside the likes of Beartooth, Architects, While She Sleeps and more. With appearances at Download Festival and Sunstroke Festival also confirmed for June, we caught up with guitarist Connor Sweeney to hear his top tips and stories from the road.

Loathe are a band that are looking to take the steps required to put their head above the crowded and frankly oversaturated metalcore/hardcore scene. With their latest album, 'I Let It In And It Took Everything', they look to be properly armed and equipped to do just that.

Stray From The Path are a band that have paid their dues time and time again. The band have been a testament to the fact that hard work inevitability pays off and with this current UK run selling out all but one of its six dates, we venture to the biggest night of the tour at the famous O2 Academy Islington in North London.

Loathe will tour in support of their forthcoming album, 'I Let It In And It Took Everything'.

Loathe's new album will be released in February 2020.
