Can you believe Slam Dunk Festival has come round again? The yearly Bank Holiday celebration of noise and shenanigans officially holds its own as a gigantic bat signal, announcing the arrival of festival season to masses of alternative music fans across the UK.
Back in May 2018, William Ryan Key released his debut EP Thirteen and just six months on he’s back with follow up EP Virtue. The former Yellowcard frontman has put his heart on his sleeve during the release, full of every feeling from euphoric happiness to crushing sadness. We had a listen to the EP and here’s what we thought of the six tracks.

Having made a name for themselves on the Bristol scene, Beyond Recall have taken their music global. 2017 is set to kick off with the trio releasing their latest EP Selfish Scars bringing their unique mix of heavy rock with a hip-hop edge to brighten your year.
Upon the release of their debut album INGUZ, it seemed that things started to click for Swedish band Normandie. Not only did the band hit the Billboard Charts with force, they were also announced as UK tour support for pop-punk veterans Yellowcard on their farewell tour. Ahead of their huge support slot, the band set out to the UK on their first headliner in July. We went to the Manchester date to check them out!
