Punk outfit Giants have announced a series of UK tour dates next month, along with a free download of their interpretation of Weezer’s Hashpipe.
Swound! are a band who have been on our radar for some time, and recently caught our eye when they supported Electric Six and blew the headliners clean out of the water. Tonight, they top that performance. Swound! – made up of four Staszkiewicz brothers – are very much like the UK’s very own Weezer. ‘
Erik Chandler, one of the founding members and bass guitarist of American punk-rock band Bowling for Soup, steps into his own spotlight with the release of his first solo EP, ‘Writing The Wrongs’, released on Brando Records. Solo projects from successful big-name band members are renowned for being either very hit, or extremely miss. Thankfully for Erik Chandler, this sways on the side of hit.
2010 has certainly proved an interesting year for Atlanta rapper B.o.B. His breakout debut single ‘Nothing On You’ featuring Bruno Mars and equally successful follow-up ‘Airplanes’ with Hayley Williams (of Paramore fame) reached Number One and Number Two in the US Billboard Charts respectively, not a bad achievement at all at the tender age of 22.
