14 years have passed since Weezer first wrote, recorded and released ‘Pinkerton’, since then a lot has happened in the Weezer camp; a hiatus, seven more albums, a tour with Blink 182 and a bus crash that punctured Rivers Cuomo’s lung. Unfortunately for Weezer even more has happened to the music industry. Gone are the days where a band can simply rehash earlier material that flopped commercially and expect to be praised to high heaven for their ‘efforts’.
B.o.B, Magic feat. Rivers Cuomo
2010 has certainly proved an interesting year for Atlanta rapper B.o.B. His breakout debut single ‘Nothing On You’ featuring Bruno Mars and equally successful follow-up ‘Airplanes’ with Hayley Williams (of Paramore fame) reached Number One and Number Two in the US Billboard Charts respectively, not a bad achievement at all at the tender age of 22.
