The departure of Four Year Strong’s resident keyboard/synth player Josh Lyford might just be the best thing that ever happened to them. On their three previous albums, they were good, but they were also mildly irritating. And now, on their fourth studio album, ‘In Some Way, Shape or Form’, they are fantastic.

Pop-core pioneers Set Your Goals latest album is an absolute dream, one that Nadia Jenna wasn’t too keen to wake up from.
An afterparty of beer, bow and ‘buca stood BTN in excellent stead, ready to tackle Slam Dunk South with nut ‘n guts. Even if the M1 tried to scupper our schedule for the second day in a row, BTN’s Jess and Mike made it in one piece and took on the noise.

Fresh from killer shows at Slam Dunk over the weekend, tonight Set Your Goals bring their tour to a climatic finale at The Underworld. They’ve bought a hell of a party with them too as Decade, This Time Next Year and A Loss For Words are also on the bill, making this one pop-punk funfest not to miss.
No self-confessed pop punker would dare omit Slam Dunk Festival from their calendar, and neither would we. Fun is what we aimed for and this time round, BTN’s Jess and Mike got way more than they bargained for.

So taking time out of their UK Tour supporting You Me At Six, welsh rockers The Blackout popped down to Camden’s Barfly to play an extra special show as part of their PledgeMusic Campaign. Bring the Noise UK main man Ian Arnold headed down to the venue to clear up a few bits and enjoy one of the funniest bands to interview in a bloody long time. Check it out, we dare you not to laugh….
A Day To Remember, ‘What Separates Me From You’
A Day To Remember are most probably the kings of combining fantastically catchy pop choruses with hardcore beatdowns. And they have certainly not disappointed on that front with fourth album ‘What Separates Me From You’.
Young Guns, Millennium Music Hall Cardiff, 05/12/10
Cardiff’s Millennium Music Hall is not the most atmospheric of venues. However, if there are any bands that can light up this place, then they are Set Your Goals, The Swellers and Young Guns. Go-X and Japanese Voyeurs start the night off, followed by the ever lovable Set Your Goals, who were added to the bill only several days earlier. The crowd absolutely love them, and they warm up the stage perfectly for The Swellers and Young Guns.
Our Last Night, We Will All Evolve
Our Last Night has obviously put their heart and soul into ‘We Will All Evolve’, and it pays off. The diversity of sound on the album will appeal to a wide variety of people, satisfying their existing followers whilst expanding their fan base. Evolved, indeed!
