Slam Dunk North, held in the fine city of Leeds always provides a great party year after year, with this year no exception. It could possibly have been the fact that its Southern counterpart was considered to be a ‘bit’ of a let down that Leeds stepped up is game, but everyone, bands and attendees were on top form!

It is a good time for Scottish music, with Twin Atlantic and Flood of Red being two of the best break through artists in the UK for 2009. And Biffy Clyro with a new album due out in the near future things couldn’t be better. Keeping the bar raised high are Flood of Red with their latest video for single ‘Home,Run (1997)’ which is to be released on October 5th, it is one hell of a track and we dare you not to like it…

Tonight is the first time BringthenoiseUK has entered this venue since its closure three Years ago, the newly named ‘Relentless Garage’ is opening its doors for Flood Of Red and it is pretty exciting. We arrive with trepidation due to today’s sweltering weather, if our overheated memories serve us correctly the Garage tends to be like a sauna on days like this. Unfortunately this is still the case and we are hit by a wall of heat on entering.
