The Kerrang! Tour 2013 closes in London with performances from Fearless Vampire Killers, Tonight Alive, Chiodos and Black Veil Brides.
We caught up with Craig Owens of Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (aka D.R.U.G.S) on the London date of their tour with Black Veil Brides. He filled us in on how the tour was going, talked frankly about the consequences of leaving Chiodos and surprised us with his love of the outdoors…
With a critically acclaimed and rollercoaster debut stuffed neatly under their belts, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows’ first UK tour has been highly anticipated. Dealing with super high expectations, thanks in no small part to the pedigree from which D.R.U.G.S. members have come, the American five piece will be scrutinised on their live debut.
So who are Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows? Ironically shortened to D.R.U.G.S., the band is made up of Craig Owens on vocals (who was effectively kicked out of Chiodos in 2009), bassist Adam Russell from Story of the Year, drummer Aaron Stern of Matchbook Romance, guitarists/vocalists Matt Good (From First To Last) and Nick Martin (Underminded), they are a post-hardcore ‘super band’ formed in 2010 and their first release, the self titled ‘Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows’ came out in February this year to good reviews, with its catchy lyrics and sing-a-long songs.
Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.), a new project from former Chiodos frontman Craig Owens that also features ex-members of Story of the Year, From First To Last, Matchbook Romance and Underminded, will release their self-titled debut album on February 21st on Decaydance / Sire Records. The album will be preceded by the band’s debut single ‘If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is’ on January 17th.
