FESTIVAL NEWS: Slam Dunk Festival Announces Brand New Acoustic/Solo Artist Stage

Not only have two of the sites expanded in recent times, but Slam Dunk Festival has now revealed a brand new eighth stage featuring acoustic and solo artists.

The stage will be headlined by Bryce Avary of The Rocket Summer who will be joined by Rob Lynch, Away Days, Elder Brother, Greywind, Grumble Bee, Seafoal, Bethan Leadley and Lianne Kaye.

Announced for the ska punk stage is none other than The Beat, as well as The JB Conspiracy whilst the Uprawr  DJ tent has now revealed its line-up with sets from Bury Tomorrow brothers Dani & Davyd Winter-Bates, Mel Clarke, Party Blinders and Shikari Sound System plus live acts Astroid Boys and The Qemists.

Slam Dunk Festival organisers have warned that both the North and South dates are close to selling out. They comment:

“People on social media are continually asking us how many tickets we have left and when the events will sell out. As this may be the last pay week for many to buy tickets, I felt it necessary to speak out. We are certain that the South site in Hatfield, which now is the smallest, will sell out by the end of the next month and before the next payday. This probably will be the same for Leeds but with that I’m a bit less certain. I’m happy to say though that the new large site at the NEC can accommodate more, so we should have tickets left till a lot nearer the event. We don’t feel as bad when people can’t get tickets if we have given them plenty of warning!”

Dates and locations for Slam Dunk Festival 2016 are:

May

Sat 28th – SLAM DUNK NORTH – Leeds City Centre
Sun 29th – SLAM DUNK MIDLANDS – Birmingam NEC (NEW LOCATION)
Mon 30th – SLAM DUNK SOUTH – Hatfield University

Tickets are on sale now, priced at £42 (£47 with aftershow party). For the first time there is also a limited edition Mega Ticket on sale for £150, which allows access to all three events including aftershow, wristband exchange queue jump and a limited edition t-shirt.
