FESTIVAL NEWS: Electric Fields Festival Confirm The Charlatans, Wild Beasts And More

Having already confirmed headliners Primal Scream as well as a whole host of other amazing acts, Electric Fields Festival have announced even more bands this evening.

The latest additions are headliners The Charlatans, as well as Wild Beasts, Beta Band legend Steve Mason, The Sugarhill Gang, C Duncan, Songhoy Blues, The Go Team, Bill Ryder-Jones, Don Letts, DJ Yoda and many more.

Of the latest headliner announcement, Electric Fields co-founder Nick Roberts says:

“We’re delighted to welcome another of the biggest bands in the country, The Charlatans, to headline alongside Primal Scream at Electric Fields. They have such an incredible body of work, including one of my favourite albums of last year, Modern Nature. We’ve been working hard on creating an incredible lineup, with a whole host of amazing artists from all over the world as well as some of the finest local acts around. We’re looking forward to the most exciting and diverse Electric Fields yet!”

Taking place between the 26th-27th August in the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries & Galloway, the two day camping festival will feature a Sneaky Pete’s stage full of exciting names in electronic music, a stage curated by The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, a real ale tent and Bowie disco.

Currently announced for the Sneaky Pete’s stage is Erol Alkan, Joy Orbison, Factory Floor and more, whilst the Tim Peaks stage curated by Tim Burgess will see appearances from Paddy Considine’s Riding The Low, Horsebeach, Teen Canteen and Yucatan as well as DJ sets (including a set from the man himself).

For those of you who like to camp in style, Electric Fields will provide Boutique Camping, with Family Camping also available.

Tickets are priced at the absolute bargain of £85 for the weekend, with concessions for youngsters, deposit and pay monthly options available if you’d like to split the cost. Children under 5 accompanied by an adult go free!
