SINGLE REVIEW: Chiddy Bang – Mind Your Manners

They impressed us with their take on MGMT’s Kids, they won over the rock fans with their collaboration with You Me At Six and now they’ve thrown out one of the catchiest songs we’ve heard in a long time, Chiddy Bang have got it, whatever IT is.

Mind Your Manners is a hip-hop/pop/alternative fusion that will induce all sorts of dance moves and turn us all into wannabe rappers. One listen to the chorus, which is sampled from Icona Pop, and you’re hooked, repeating the line “there is no one like me” whilst pointing at yourself, obviously.

The drumbeat is simple yet effective and the guitar rhythm offers a nice upbeat melody to bop along to. The production may be simple but rapper Chiddy provides plenty of hooks and life inspired lyrics, whilst sliding in their statement “and we’re pretty much amazing”.

Taken from their debut studio album Breakfast, that was released earlier this year, Mind Your Manners will be one of those tracks you never get bored of, so make sure you turn it up loud, do your best hip-hop stance and tell everyone that there just isn’t anyone like you.
