Where: Blackpool
What: Alternative/acoustic/soul
About: 24 year old singer/songwriter Karima Francis is back with her forthcoming studio album The Remedy. The album goes on sale August 13th and displays the edgy, raw talent of the young singer and it’s more compelling than ever.
Since her debut album The Author, back in 2009, she has been relatively quiet until 2011 where Karima was signed by Vertigo/Mercury records. As of her signing, we have seen a four-track EP titled Wherever I Go, released in May of this year and now an album that’s due to go on sale in the summer. We cannot be more excited for this album, with Karima’s stern track record of producing outstanding, meaningful songs that capture both your mind and soul, we’re certain that The Remedy will not disappoint.
‘Glory Days’, is the first release from the new album, and is available to view on YouTube for you keen fans! And if listening to the music isn’t enough, you’ll be glad to know that Karima is currently playing gigs and festivals all over the UK.
Verdict: We’re glad to hear Karima’s sounds are due to bless our ears once more, and can’t wait to hear the undeniably talented combination of touching lyrics and enticing music she provides so naturally.
