LIFESTYLE NEWS: Doing Something offers new ‘extreme’ dates

Doing Something

Long gone are the days of awkward first dates thanks to the launch of a new dating project by, Doing Something that promises action-packed dates.

Doing Something takes first dates out of usual locations, such as restaurants and bars, and aims to throw them into action. The site has teamed up with Twentieth Century Fox and the concept to offer action packed dates is inspired by the recent release, This Means War, starring Reese Witherspoon and Tom Hardy.

Singletons are encouraged to get out there with their date ideas by doing something unique, such as going paintballing, trapezing or getting on a racing track. A recent survey of 1200 Brits suggested that action dates help break down barriers and also makes it more likely to go on a second date.

CEO of Doing Something, Matt Janes, says that the aim is to take the awkwardness out of dating by encouraging more spontaneity and also by taking away the focus from the other person.

The company offers three themed dates: Circus Space – which is a trapeze date; Paintballing and Supercar – which is a driving experience, offering the choice of Ferrari’s, Porsches and Lamborghinis.
