Entries for this years AIM Independent Music Awards have officially opened and entrants will be able to put names forward for categories such as Best Live Act, and Hardest Working Band/Artist.
AIM is a non-profit organisation, established in 1999 to represent the UK independent music industry. It aims to support the creativity and talent of artists and labels in the independent industry, and has over 800 members from small start-ups to some of the largest independents in the world.
The AIM Awards will be accepting entries to highlight all the talent that is found across the independent sector, with both AIM member labels and non-AIM members being able to take part in the entry process.
Key categories for the 2012 Awards are:
Voting for the Best Live Act and Indie Champion Award will open from August 13-30 and voting for the Golden Welly Award will be open from September 10-23.
Tickets are selling fast for the Awards’ second ceremony, which will take place at The Brewery, in October, and will once again be seeing Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq hosting.
