Newly-formed, Manchester based rock group Empire, have recently launched their first home-recorded demo on Myspace. Why, at such an early stage in their musical endeavours, have they been noticed? The answer: the group are fronted by Hollyoaks actor Andy Moss and their demo launch was fired around the world of Twitter and Facebook by a variety of the show’s cast, all with praise.
So, are the band intending to ride out on the back of the beautiful-looking Brit star or is there some musical talent to accredit to them as well?
The demo is well recorded and mixed. The genre is debatable, but will certainly be at home being played in any student rock club to the motion of excitable, bouncing scene-girls. This is not a bad thing, and the tune definitely has some Pop-like catchy appeal. Apparently Andy Moss can actually sing too.
We look forward to snooping Empire out live and seeing if their musical prowess can stand up to the challenge.
