Who are they: Heights are a progressive metal band from Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire formed in 2009 by five school friends. They exploded onto the underground metal scene with the release of their free EP ‘The Land, The Ocean, The Distance’ as one of the most exciting bands of 2010. Touring extensively of the back of the ambitious release saw Heights quickly build a fanbase across the UK, and earn spots on some of the countries largest festivals like Download, Sonisphere and T in the Park less than a year since they began. Recently they announced that they had signed to Small Town Records for the release of their debut album expected early 2011. The band is Thomas Debaere (Vocals), Dean Richardson (guitar), Tom Green (guitar), Andrew Moulder (bass) and Tom ‘Ranga’ Hutton (drums).
What do they sound like: Heights combine progressive cinematic soundscapes with rank heavy riffs and vocals, producing a beautiful but aggressive sound of their own.
On tour with: Flood of Red and House vs. Hurricane (AUS) from 4th – 27th November, UK and Europe.
