Fun. release debut album ‘Aim & Ignite’ to a buzz within the UK music scene created by thier perfectly crafted and irresistible pop songwriting.
Opening track ‘Be Calm’ hits you with rich harmonies combined cleverly with strings and brass to create an edgy sing-a-long that sets the tone for this album, luring you in to 10 tracks of what will be your summer soundtrack. ‘Benson Hedges’ uses driving keys and forceful melodies in its mission to make you dance and moves you into single ‘All The Pretty Girls’, which packed with soaring melodic hooks makes it a great sing-a-long. ‘Light A Roman Candle With Me’ is beautiful, slow enough to hold the uplifting sound fun are so great at capturing. ‘Walking TheDog’ is bloody catchy after just one listen, a combination of the distinctive vocal stylings of singer Nate Russ and equally catchy guitar hook make it definatly a strong condtender for future single and massive summer hit.
After being lucky enough to witness thier first UK show it was great to see thier songs translate perfectly live, with all the energy offered on record. This album truly offers a breath of fresh air to anyone searching for something fresh, fun. are extrodinarily talented in thier albility to turn great pop songs in to amazingly intricate and experimental pop songs.
Released on Hassle June 7th, if this album is not on repeat on your stereo all summer then there is something seriously wrong with you!
