Primal Rock Rebellion premiere video for ‘No Place Like Home’
Bar both bands being British, there isn't much in common between Sikth and Iron Maiden. But Primal Rock Rebellion, featuring the formers ex-frontman Mikee Goodman, and the latter's Adrian Smith, show in their new video 'No Place Like Home' just how it can be done. The debut video was made in conjunction with renowned CGI artist and animator Meats Meier, and is everything you'd expect from a project like this... a bit odd. A track from the forthcoming 'Awoken Broken' album, 'I See Lights', has already been made available as a free download, and along with this new track it ...

ALBUM: Young Guns – Bones
‘Bones’ is the second full-length from High Wycome wonders Young Guns, and bloody hell, they’ve done well. They’ve always boasted a ridiculous amount of potential, looking completely at home in gigantic venues, so it was always fairly obvious they were going to be brilliant. Their first record, ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, was good but it wasn’t great. It sounded fantastic, but there was just something missing. On ‘Bones’, they’ve progressed hugely: it’s a great record. Their new sound is completely epic – they’ve toned down slightly from the chugging riffs of their incredible EP ‘Mirrors’ (which I always thought was ...

ALBUM: Anthony Green – Beautiful Things
This is Anthony Green’s second solo album. Known primarily for being the ex-frontman of Saosin and current frontman of Circa Survive, he has branched out on his own, and sadly the result is not the aural delight you would hope. ‘Beautiful Things’ only has nine tracks, and it’s kind of a relief. The music is jingly-jangly-indie, with whiffs of Kasabian and every other indie/guitar rock band out there. There is nothing wildly exciting about any of it, and the songs all start to blend into one. ‘When I’m On Pills’ speaks for itself: it sounds like the result of an experimental ...
